Women in Tech Day – Nov 12

Join us for Women in Tech Day, a one-day event designed to inspire and empower women-identifying high school students in grades 9 to 12 who are curious about the world of technology and innovation.

Hosted at Dalhousie University in partnership with the Leacross Foundation, this immersive experience will highlight the voices and journeys of female faculty, students, and recent graduates making their mark in the tech sector. Through interactive sessions, hands-on activities, and inspiring stories, participants will gain valuable insights into the diverse opportunities available in computer science, engineering, and related fields.

What to expect:

• Keynote speakers and panels featuring women in tech from Dalhousie and beyond

• Interactive workshops and demonstrations

• Mentorship opportunities and networking with students and professionals

• A glimpse into life at Dalhousie and the supportive community that fosters innovation and inclusion

• Priority applications for attendees in grade 12!
• Lunch will be provided to all attendees
• Transportation may be provided for students outside of Halifax. Details to come.
