Small Business Week Event (CornerBrook, NL): Protecting your Intellectual Property as a Small Business

Canadian businesses, entrepreneurs, creators and innovators have fantastic ideas, do incredible research, and create amazing products and inventions. Intellectual Property (IP) plays a critical role in exploiting the growth and innovation potential of businesses. Many companies have IP and don’t realise it. Protecting it is important! Libby Carew will explain the new $90 million federal program being rolled out to help Canadian businesses, why it’s necessary and how to access it. Dr. Jacqui Bartlett will discuss how business owners can disclose sensitive information with potential partners and customers with tips for protecting their business. This is in collaboration with Greater Corner Brook Board of Trade.
