Research NB Equity-Based Co-Creation webinar – English Session – April 21

On behalf of ResearchNB, Dr. Sandra Lapointe and Dr. Akacia Propst from McMaster University’s The/La Collaborative will be hosting this 45-minute webinar on how to build equity-based co-creation (EqCC) into your research and how to articulate this in your proposal being submitted to ResearchNB’s Partnership for Social Innovation Fund.

This is not mandatory for submission, but an optional resource. Participants will be provided a resource tool created by The/La Collaborative post meeting to support their work.

Dr. Sandra Lapointe is Professor of Philosophy at McMaster University and the Founding Director of the Canadian Collaborative for Society, Innovation and Policy, a multi-institutional research and action network, and within it, of the Observatory for Public and Social Innovation. She also leads The/La Collaborative, stewarding a series of talent and knowledge mobilization initiatives dedicated to enhancing social sciences, humanities and arts’ contribution to innovation across sectors. Dr. Lapointe is the convener of the annual Canadian Forum for Social Innovation.

Dr. Akacia Propst is a Program Manager with the Canadian Collaborative for Society, Innovation and Policy (CCSIP) and The/La Collaborative at McMaster University. Trained as an anthropologist, her previous research examined how emerging analytical models of disease can deepen our understanding of human lived experience across time. She now applies that evidence-driven, human-centered lens to her current work, which focuses on the strategic design and execution of initiatives at the intersection of science and innovation policy, knowledge mobilization, and talent development for social impact.
