National Conference for 2SLGBTQIA+ in STEM at Dalhousie University

 Dalhousie University will welcome over 250 delegates to spotlight the latest research and hear inspiring success stories, from the  2SLGBTQ+ STEM community June 10-13

The diversification of STEM fields is essential if we are to mobilize talent in Canada, drive innovation and promote discovery across all scientific fields. The conference brings together leading experts, innovators, and changemakers to explore actionable strategies for dismantling barriers to 2SLGBTQ+ success in STEM. In addition to great science, we will also hear about increasing visibility, improving recruitment and retention of queer and trans scientists, and strategies to foster truly inclusive cultures in academia, industry, and beyond.
The conference will feature keynote speakers, panels, and workshops on topics including 2SLGBTQIA+ visibility and leadership in #STEM, navigating research and career pathways, and creating inclusive spaces within academia and the workplace. It will also include opportunities to engage directly with institutions and organizations from across Canada that are actively seeking to support, collaborate with, and recruit emerging STEM talent.
