CarbonCure Technologies, a Dartmouth-based company that sequesters carobon dioxide in concrete is growing at a fast pace, adding its 80th client to their customer list. St. Louis-based Breckenridge Material Company and Eastern Missouri Concrete are 2 American companies that will now be able to recycle waste carbon dioxide and therefore increase their environmental performance and profile. A neat side-effect of the sequestered coarbon dioxide in the concrete is the added compressive strength of the concrete. CarbonCure is also one of 23 semi-finalists in the $20 million NRG COSIA Carbon XPRIZE challenge, which has been called the Nobel Prize for climate technologies.
