Atlantic Canadian firms are stepping onto the global stage at the Defence and Security Equipment International (DSEI) 2025 in London, UK. DSEI is the UK’s flagship defence event, attracting participants from around the world, offering unrivalled access to international governments, ministries of defence, and military officials.
More than 30 companies and organizations from the Atlantic Provinces are participating in DSEI, demonstrating innovation, industry capability, and ambition in aerospace, defence and security. Springboard is represented by a University of New Brunswick delegation.
Gaining traction in UK and other overseas defence markets involves many hard yards for Canadian SMBs. But using partnerships with many of the teams in the room yesterday, who are genuine combat multipliers, helps to reduce that burden.

ACADA and ACOA lead Atlantic Canadian delegation
The Atlantic delegation is led by Springboard partner Atlantic Canada Aerospace and Defence Association (ACADA). Canada.ca Supporting partners include the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA) and the four Atlantic provinces.
By participating in DSEI, Atlantic Canadian firms gain access to one of the largest global platforms for defence and security equipment. The opportunity allows them to showcase their capabilities to international defence contractors, network with potential partners or buyers, and engage in forums about the future of defence technology.
This presence supports multiple regional and national priorities—scaling exports, deepening industrial capacity, advancing innovation, and reinforcing Canada’s reputation as a leader in aerospace and defence. For Atlantic Canada, this is a tangible expression of building global connections while backing home-grown ingenuity.

With federal and provincial cooperation, and programs such as MEDP and ATIGA in place, the firms attending are well-positioned not simply for this event, but for longer-term growth in Europe and beyond.
Atlantic Canada’s presence at DSEI 2025 serves not only to display technological capacity, but also to cement the region’s role in global defence and security supply chains. It’s a declaration: these firms, these provinces, and this region are ready for partnership, ready for export, and ready for leadership.
