Acadia Partners On Exciting New Probiotic Studies

The Acadia Probiotics and Mental Health Research Centre, headed up by psychologist and researcher, Dr. Susan Potter, has received over $40,000 in funding from a number of partners, including Lallemand Health Solutions Inc., Milk 2020 and MITACS, to embark on exciting new studies examining the effects of probiotics on specific mental health conditions in children (ADHD and anxiety) and adults (anxiety and depression). Children with symptoms of ADHD and/or anxiety, and adults with symptoms of anxiety and/or depression now have the opportunity to participate and see if the strains of probiotics being studied (which have been shown to work in animals) can help with their symptoms.
